Employee / Attendant Information
Scope of this packet. This packet documents the agency's initial instructional program and the agency's own competency/OJT evaluation. It does not replace separate certificates or approvals required by law, including First Aid/CPR, elder-abuse training, or an approved cultural-competency course when applicable.
Do not authorize independent client care from the online instruction alone. Nevada requires completion of the training program before independent personal care, an opportunity for supervised on-the-job instruction, agency competency determination in the required areas, and evidence of successful completion within the 12 months immediately before the attendant first begins client care.

KinLuma Care internal passing standard: 80%. This percentage is an agency standard, not a stated Nevada percentage in NAC 449.3977.
Evaluator instruction: Mark an item competent only after direct observation, return demonstration, verbal scenario evaluation, record review, or another reasonable method appropriate to the skill. Do not mark hands-on skills competent solely because the employee completed the online lesson.
